A café where women build something of their own.
Part neighbourhood coffee house, part women-focused co-working space — forming now in Cambridge, Ontario. Bring your laptop, order a proper latte, book a meeting room, and work among women who understand the road you're on.
We're building the room we wish we'd had.
Across Canada there are more than 1.2 million women entrepreneurs and over 2.7 million self-employed professionals — and Ontario sits at the heart of that shift.
"I built HerSpace for the woman tired of working from her kitchen table and being the only one like her in the room. Here, she is the whole room."Uzma Akram, Founder & Managing Director
Women are starting businesses in record numbers, yet so many are doing it alone — at kitchen tables, in noisy coffee shops, or in offices that were never designed with them in mind. HerSpace Café sits in the gap between a proper café and a proper workspace: good coffee and a warm welcome on one side, fast Wi-Fi, quiet zones and meeting rooms on the other.
Most of all, it's a community built specifically for women — a place to work, meet clients, learn, and find the people who understand what building something really takes. We're a new Ontario company, incorporated in 2026 and now forming in Cambridge, steps from the Grand River and the city's historic downtown.
This first issue of our journal is your early invitation. Read on for the menu we're planning, a day in the life of the space, the membership that fits your week, and the neighbourhood we're proud to call home.

A day in the space
From the first pour to the last networking night — how a workday unfolds when the café and the desk share one warm roof.
The counter opens
Espresso pulled properly, loose-leaf teas, and a short menu of fresh, light meals. Grab a day pass, claim a seat, and settle in with power and fast Wi-Fi at every chair.
Heads down
Quiet focus zones for deep work and calls, ergonomic desks and lounge nooks for everything in between. A professional base — without a lease, a commute downtown, or a table you feel guilty for hogging.
The room you booked
A private meeting room for a client session, an interview or a team huddle — the coffee and the screen already sorted, by the hour when you need it.
Networking night
Once a month the space turns social — networking nights, skill-building workshops and mentorship meetups that turn a solo venture into a supported one.
